After School Program
Counselors: Be a part of the academic growth of an inner-city child by helping with homework, individual tutoring, reading books together, playing educational games, chaperoning field trips and more. Four age groups and classrooms are designed to provide a stimulating environment that encourages learning. The program is open Monday - Thursday with the following academic times: 3:30 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. We are looking for work study students, retired educators and caring people who can make a consistent weekly commitment.
Assistants: After School Program Assistants are needed to provide support for all After School activities.
Mentoring
Mature men and women are needed to help a young child become a productive, caring, respectful, considerate adult and member of our community and society.
Office Workers
Various clerical and receptionist duties are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Clothing Closet
If you are a person who loves to organize, we've got the perfect job for you. Your talent is needed in our Clothing Closet. We receive clothing donations on a daily basis and need workers to sort, categorize, hang and pack the clothing, shoes, and various other items.
Food Pantry
Driver: A driver with a truck is needed to volunteer between 2-3 hours once a month (from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.) to pick up and deliver food from the food bank for the Center.
Workers: Volunteers are needed to help stock food items (once a month), prepare bags of food for distribution (twice a month), and distribute food (once a month). We only need about 1-2 hours of your time to stock and prepare and 2-3 hours of your time for distribution.
Congregant Meal Program for Senior Citizens
Adults are needed to assist with activities, arts and crafts, serving food and general assistance to program participants. Volunteers with medical experience welcome.
